Compliance
How Bonvitel handles the legal and safety requirements of operating a communications service. Bonvitel is not yet providing service; these practices apply from launch.
Emergency calling (911)
Every number that can place calls to standard telephone numbers is provisioned with E911 service and a dispatchable location, as required by Kari's Law and RAY BAUM's Act. Customers are responsible for keeping their registered service address current. Numbers that are SMS-only or inbound-call-only may not include E911; this is disclosed when the number is provisioned.
Messaging consent and opt-outs
Campaign messaging is registered under A2P 10DLC and subject to TCPA consent requirements. A reply of STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT permanently blocks further messages to that number from the customer's account, across every channel. Only START or UNSTOP re-enables messaging. Suppression is logged and cannot be overridden by customers or staff.
Calling-party authentication and robocall mitigation
Before carrying live traffic, Bonvitel will maintain its own Robocall Mitigation Database listing and sign outbound calls under STIR/SHAKEN. Bulk and campaign content is screened before it is sent, and content that impersonates public officials or real people, or that attempts election suppression, is held for review.
Number porting
Bonvitel supports porting numbers in and out. A PIN or passcode is required before any number can be ported away, to protect against port-out fraud.
Verification and fraud prevention
Accounts are verified before service is provisioned, including identity and billing checks (address, card security code, and 3-D Secure) and sanctions screening. Prepaid and virtual cards are not accepted for verification.
AI use
AI features operate within scope-of-authority limits: they cannot quote unauthorized pricing or give medical or legal advice, and they escalate callers in distress to a human. Customers remain responsible for configuring their agents lawfully.
Privacy and CPNI
Customer Proprietary Network Information is handled under FCC rules with least-privilege, logged internal access. We do not sell personal information. See our Privacy Policy.
Reporting abuse and traceback
Report suspected abuse to abuse@bonvitel.com. Formal traceback requests from the USTelecom Industry Traceback Group receive a response within 24 hours, including suspension of the source account pending investigation.
